Meet our Church Staff
While God and the Bible are the ultimate authority for Mahomet Christian Church, there is a leadership structure to keep the day-to-day operations and ministry of the church moving correctly.
David joined our staff in June of 2005. In all his ministries he has been active in ministerial associations and community organizations, participating not only as a member but in leadership roles as well. For several years he has been "The Voice of Mahomet/Seymour High School Varsity Baseball." David received his B.S. Degree from Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN in 1974. He was ordained that year by his home church in Lexington, KY. David brings over 45 years of ministry experience to MCC having ministered in Kentucky, Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. David and his wife, Barby, have two daughters (LeAnn and Samantha), two sons (David, Jr. and Stephen), and five grandchildren (Jackie, Damian, Caleb, Jacilyn and Hannah). David's special interests include golf, travel and writing.
Jeff joined our church staff as Youth Minister in June 2009. Jeff grew up in Mahomet and at Mahomet Christian Church. He and his wife, Polly, return to Mahomet with their two children, Tiana and Noah, and with a passion for both the youth of Mahomet and MCC. Jeff Studied Youth Ministry at Anderson University, graduated from Parkland College in Liberal Arts, and graduated Southern Illinois University in Secondary Education. For years, Jeff has been involved in church leadership, and community service, such as Boys and Girls Club and others
"The Voice of Mahomet Christian Church" is our secretary, Marsha Colclasure. Your calls to the church office are most often answered with her cheerful voice and service! Marsha was born in Effingham, Illinois but raised in St. Joseph where she graduated from High School. From there it was off to Lincoln Christian College. Marsha and her husband, John, are charter members of Mahomet Christian Church. She joined our staff as Church Secretary June 1, 1995. In her spare time, Marsha enjoys painting, gardening and travel (loves oceans!).
Ann is from Central, Illinois. She graduated from Central High School in Champaign and from the University Of Illinois in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades in Urbana for more than 9 years. Ann enjoyed substituting in Mahomet-Seymour for several years. She has worked with Small Wonders Preschool the last 2 years. You may see her working at the Mahomet Public Library in the afternoons. She and her husband Keith were married in 1990. They have two young adult children. Courtney (22) is newly married to her husband Sean, and she teaches preschool at Next Generation in Champaign. Ryan (18) will be attending Moody Bible Institute in the fall of 2015.
