Bible Bowl and
Beginner Bible Bowl
Beginner Bible Bowl
Welcome to Bible Bowl!
Bible Bowl is a ministry for youth in grades 6 to 12 which combines Bible study with
Christian competition and fellowship. There is also a separate division for children in
grades 3 to 5 called Beginner Bible Bowl. The purpose of Bible Bowl is to give youth a
firm foundation for their faith through a systematic study, memorization and application
of Scripture. Each session a designated portion of Scripture is chosen as the study
text. Beginner Bible Bowl teams learn 400 core questions and a designated portion of
Scripture. Weekly practices consist of learning and applying the designated text,
devotions, quizzing, plus lots of fun and fellowship. From September through May, local
competition is held monthly. Teams of 3 to 6 players compete with other churches,
Christian schools, or home-schooling associations. The season culminates with the
National Bible Bowl Youth Conference held in late June or early July. The National
Conference brings together teams from all 50 states and Canada! For more

2009 Bible Bowl Highlights
Bible Bowlers for 2009 were Eric Miller, Markus Green, Austin Dyson and Matthew
Caparoon. With a study of the Major Prophets, MCC Bible Bowl...
* 3rd place in the Southern Illinois Round Robin,
* 2nd place in the End-of-Year Tournament
* 5th place in the Lincolnland Bible Bowl Tournament at Lincoln Christian College
* 2nd place in their pod at the National tournament in Indianapolis
Eric Miller finished in 3rd place on the Top Brain Tests for the year in the Southern
Illinois Round Robin, and 4th place on the Top Brain Test at the Lincolnland Tournament
earning a $5,000 Scholarship to LCC.
Additionally, the MCC Bible Bowl team was twice recognized as MOST
CHRIST-LIKE! First by the sponsors in the Southern Illinois Round Robin, and then by
members of competing teams at the Lincolnland Bible Bowl Tournament!
